Our Creed:

The object of the Panhellenic Council shall be to develop and maintain women's sorority life and interfraternity relations at a high level of accomplishment and in so doing to:

  • Consider the goals and ideals of member organizations as applicable to campus and personal life.

  • Promote superior scholarship and intellectual development.

  • Cooperate with member women's sororities and the university/college administration to maintain high social and moral standards.

  • Act in accordance with National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Unanimous Agreements, policies and best practices.

  • Act in accordance with such rules established by the Panhellenic Council as to not violate the sovereignty, rights and privileges of member sororities.

President

Bella Tepedino

Position Responsibilities:

  • Preside over all meetings of the Panhellenic Council. 

  • Serve as the Chairperson of President’s Roundtable

  • Oversee all Executive Officers, as well as directors.

  • Serve as a liaison between Panhellenic and the University community.

  • Serve as a member of the Greek Programming Board as the Panhellenic Representative through the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life.

  • Ensure that chapters have the resources and training that they need to comply with the Standards of Fraternal Excellence

  • Serve on the Panhellenic Recruitment Team as a disaffiliated member of her chapter during her term. 

Vice President of Internal Affairs

Sydney hebert

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Panhellenic Council in alignment with the NPC Unanimous agreements and other governing documents

  • Review and update the Panhellenic Council Constitution and Bylaws as necessary

  • Hold roundtable with social chairs and risk management chairs/standards chairs

  • Provide resources, promote attendance at programs and/or educate Panhellenic women on relevant risk and safety issues including but not limited to: fire safety and prevention, responsible alcohol use, crisis management, legal liability, hazing, personal safety, healthy relationships, university policies, etc.

  • Oversee the following director: Director of Health and Safety

Vice President of Public Relations

Brooke Bledsoe

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all publicity coverage of and for the Panhellenic Council

  • Foster a good public image of the Panhellenic Council to the University of Tennessee and Knoxville communities

  • Communicate with and maintain positive relationships with various audiences (students, alumni, parents, UT faculty, community partners, etc.)

  • Responsible for all Panhellenic social media accounts

  • Guide chapter PR chairs in creating strategic plans to promote positive attributes of their chapter 

  • Create and publish brochures and recruitment information to prospective members in consultation with the Vice President of Recruitment

  • Develop any print or design materials as needed by other members of the executive council 

  • Oversee the following directors: Assistant to the VP of PR and Marketing

Vice President of Administration

Addy Stepien

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the general supervision of the finances of the Panhellenic Council, such as monetary transactions

  • Record and archive the Panhellenic Council minutes in a permanent record file and distribute copies to each member of the Panhellenic Council, to chapter delegates, Panhellenic Advisor, NPC Area Advisor, and other University of Tennessee, Knoxville administrators as deemed appropriate

  • Keep accurate attendance at Panhellenic Council meetings and contact delegates after two absences

  • Submit an annual budget to Council for approval

  • Notify chapter of their financial obligations to the Panhellenic Council

Vice President of Member Engagement

Lucy dodson

Position Responsibilities:

  • Hosts Roundtables with Chapter Satisfaction/Member Engagement Chairs

  • Coordinates Educational Programs & Addresses Critical Issues facing the Panhellenic Community

  • Providing Pan-Wide Sisterhood Opportunities

Vice President of NEW Member Development

Caroline ballard

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the New Member Director 

  • Hosts Roundtables with New Member Educators

  • Oversees Bid Day Events 

  • Coordinates with OSFL & New Member Educators on New Member Responsibilities (NM Module, Kickoff, NM Plans, etc.)

  • Coordinates New Member Kickoff between Chapters, OSFL, and Campus Staff.

  • Oversees the following Director: New Member Director

Vice President of Scholarship

Brenna Burns

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create a climate in which there is a constant presence and appreciate of academic excellence 

  • Plan and coordinate the annual Panhellenic Scholarship Recognition Program 

  • Discuss and provide resources and training for chapter scholarship chairs

  • Recognize outstanding scholastic achievements and improvements by chapters at Panhellenic Council meetings

  • Plan and implement academic programming during Month of the Scholar

  • Build strong faculty relationships and implement faculty appreciation programs

  • Oversees the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Accessibility

Vice President of Philanthropy & Community Service

Lydia rothrock

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide information concerning campus, community, and national philanthropy programs 

  • Ensure that chapters have the resources and training that they need to comply with the Standards of Fraternal Excellence 

  • Plan and execute educational and fundraising programs for Circle of Sisterhood 

  • Notify the Panhellenic community of all volunteer opportunities and activities 

  • Oversee all Panhellenic-sponsored philanthropic and/or community  service projects (Sisterhood Showcase, Greek Weekend, or any other event benefiting Circle of Sisterhood)

  • Oversee the following director: Philanthropy Director and the Circle of Sisterhood Committee

Vice President of Recruitment

Caroline hayes

Position Responsibilities:

  • Direct all recruiting activities of Panhellenic members including Formal Membership Recruitment, Continuous Open Bidding, & Orientation Sessions

  • Maintain an ongoing evaluation of recruiting procedures 

  • Identify ways to strive for a more Values-Based Recruitment

  • Propose annual recruiting policies and submit an Annual Report on Recruitment

  • Promote effective membership recruitment through publicity efforts, workshops with individual chapters, and conferences with Recruitment Chairpersons

  • Organize and direct weekly Recruitment Team meetings 

  • Conduct educational workshops for chapter recruitment chairs on best practices, rules and policies, etc.

  • Coordinate Recruitment Task Force Meetings with all chairpersons and advisers

  • Oversee the following director: Assistant Vice President of Recruitment

Vice President of Recruitment Counselors

Olivia clark

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Vice President of Recruitment in developing the Formal Recruitment program

  • Create Gamma Chi application

  • Coordinate Gamma Chi recruitment and selection 

  • Develop the coursework and instruction of the Gamma Chi class 

  • Coordinate a retreat and training sessions for Gamma Chis prior to the Formal Recruitment process 

  • Oversee Gamma Chi duties during Formal Recruitment 

  • Conduct an evaluation of the Gamma Chi program after completion of Formal Recruitment 

  • Assist the Vice President of Recruitment as needed 

  • Oversee the following director: Assistant Vice President of  Recruitment Counselors

Position Responsibilities of all Panhellenic Executive Board Members:

  • Hold at least two office hours a week (in-person and/or on Zoom)

  • Serve as active, disaffiliated members of The Recruitment Team
