Spring Activities

Spring has sprung in Tennessee! The cold is gone, the sun is shining, and Knoxville is thriving! To celebrate the warm weather and green coming back to the grass and trees, here are a few spring activities you and your sisters can do!

Take a hike or nature walk

We are so lucky that Knoxville is full of so many beautiful places to walk, hike, bike, or run. Some of our favorites are Sequoyah Hills, Lakeshore Park, Ijams, and Third Creek Greenway!

A fun idea to change up your walk is to make it a flower walk! Draw the stems of a flower bouquet on a piece of cardboard and poke holes where you want your flowers to go. While on your walk, pick some flowers you find and add them to your cardboard bouquet!

Visit Meads Quarry

With how hot Knoxville is going to get as summer gets closer, finding somewhere to cool off is necessary! Meads Quarry is a great place to relax by the lake and get some sun. Grab a book, bring some homework, toss a floatie in the water, and soak it all in while still being a little productive before finals hit!

Don’t have a ride? No worries! The TREC pool is another awesome spot to relax, catch some rays, and beat the heat — all without leaving campus!

Dollywood & Gatlinburg

Dollywood and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, are two great places to go explore and have some fun with your sisters! As students at UT, we are able to get a discount on a one-day pass to Dollywood! Grab your friends and make the trip to Dollywood, where you can ride numerous roller coasters, and eat some sweet treats!

Go to a Baseball Game

As the reigning College World Series Championship winners, the VOLS are in season for us to go and cheer on! As students at UT, we can go to the games for free! Check out their game schedule to see when you can go, and cheer the VOLS to another National Championship!
